Horseback Riding Lessons
We offer private riding lessons designed to introduce young riders to the joy, responsibility, and confidence that comes from partnering with ponies. Lessons are gentle, structured, and tailored to each rider’s experience level — whether it’s their very first time in the saddle or they're building toward independent riding.

We keep our program intentionally small to ensure every child receives focused instruction, calm energy, and a positive foundation. We prioritize horsemanship, safety, and fun — helping riders connect with ponies on the ground as well as in the ring.
Mommy & Me Pony Time
A private, guided lesson where both parent and child ride together — each on a suitable, well-trained mount. Your child will ride one of our kind, kid-safe ponies while you enjoy a lesson on a polished schoolmaster horse. No prior experience is required.
These sessions are designed for families seeking a meaningful, structured introduction to riding. You’ll share time in the saddle, build confidence together, and create a strong foundation in a calm, professional setting.

Lesson Policies
In order to provide the best experience for all riders and ensure fairness, safety, and respect for our ponies and schedule, the following policies are strictly enforced.
We’re committed to creating a positive and professional experience for every rider — and that starts with clear communication and mutual respect.

By booking a lesson, you agree to these policies in full.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, smooth, and pony-friendly program!
1 / Scheduling & Cancellations:
Lessons are scheduled in advance. Cancellations require 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged for the lesson. If you are more than 15 minutes late, the lesson may be shortened or canceled without refund. We understand that emergencies happen, and we appreciate timely communication.
2 / Weather
In the event of inclement weather, we may substitute a groundwork or horsemanship lesson (which includes grooming, tack care, leading, etc.), or reschedule at the instructor’s discretion.
3 / Punctuality
Please arrive on time. Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrivals, to respect the next rider’s time.
4 / Attire & Safety:
ASTM/SEI-certified riding helmets and closed-toe shoes with a low heel (such as paddock boots, Chelsea boots, or durable ankle boots)are required while mounted and while handling on the ground.
Sneakers, sandals, and open-toe shoes are not permitted under any circumstances. The heel helps prevent the foot from slipping through the stirrup and is an important safety feature.
Riders should be dressed appropriately for the weather and prepared to be outside.
5 / Waiver & Release:
A signed liability waiver is required for all riders and chaperones prior to their first lesson.
6 / Payments:
Payment is due in full at the time of booking or before the start of the lesson. Packages must be paid in full and are non-refundable. We accept cash, Zelle, and checks made out to Rose Pony Equestrian LLC .
