About Rose Pony Equestrian

At Rose Pony Equestrian, our passion lies in developing, preparing, and thoughtfully matching ponies with young riders and families.

We specialize in offering a curated selection of kind, beautifully trained ponies — focusing on early education, show preparation, and ensuring every match is built for long-term success.

Our boutique program is small by design, allowing us to give each pony individualized attention, and each client a personalized buying experience rooted in honesty, care, and horsemanship.

At Rose Pony Equestrian, finding the right match is about more than just ability — it’s about heart, safety, and fit.

We work with a small number of ponies at a time, selecting for temperament, soundness, and suitability for young riders moving into the show ring or seeking a lasting first partner.

Families can expect a polished, welcoming environment with no pressure sales, full transparency, and ongoing support after purchase if desired.

For riders who are just beginning their journey, we offer limited private lessons geared toward building early confidence and horsemanship skills. Our lessons are designed for families exploring a potential future in ponies — without long-term commitments or overwhelming expectations. If your young rider finds their passion, we’ll be there to support their growth and help you find the right partner when the time is right.

Whether you're seeking your child's first pony or looking to make the leap into the show ring with a capable new partner, Rose Pony Equestrian offers a personalized, trusted path forward — always built around the magic of ponies and the dreams of young riders.

A Note From the Founder

Hi, I’m Antoinette, the founder of Rose Pony Equestrian — and like many lifelong riders, my journey began early. I started riding at just three years old in Napa Valley, California, when my older cousin came to visit from New Jersey and introduced me to horses. My parents enrolled me in lessons to nurture my natural inclination to animals — and I never looked back.

Not long after, we moved to New Jersey, where my riding roots truly took hold. I spent my junior years immersed in the A-circuit, leasing and riding a wide range of horses to become a well-rounded rider. I also spent summers teaching at camp in exchange for saddle time — discovering a deep love for helping kids grow in the sport the same way I had.

Though I admired the Big Eq world, my small frame made it difficult to pursue seriously. What once felt like a limitation quickly became a strength — the perfect fit for developing ponies. My passion took off after working with a medium green pony who arrived with a big buck and little training. Together with my trainer, I helped turn him into a quiet, confident show pony who carried kids from their first canter to the winner’s circle. I was hooked.

After moving to Washington, D.C. for college, I continued teaching and working with ponies. During that time, I was fortunate to be mentored by a highly respected professional in the industry — a trainer known for developing numerous US Pony Finals champions. His guidance deepened my understanding of pony sales, show preparation, and the level of professionalism required to do this work well.

Now back in New Jersey, I’ve come full circle to bring you Rose Pony Equestrian where I offer a boutique program focused on thoughtful pony growth and high-quality instruction. I'm proud to combine years of experience in pony development and instruction to bring a fun, gentle approach (and a bit of kid-like energy) that helps young riders reach their full potential and feel safe, confident, and seen.
